Ms. Osacky approaches litigation with a single-minded devotion to achieving her clients' goals. As a former law clerk in Federal Court, she is trained to look deep into the facts and explore all legal theories. Now in private practice, Ms. Osacky concentrates in commercial litigation for the firm’s bank and corporate clients. She has experience in all phases of the trial process, from pre-trial strategy counseling to prosecuting and defending lawsuits, and arguing before trial and appellate courts. She has substantial experience in contract, UCC and commercial law as well as employment non-compete and trade secret litigation. She also has significant experience with class actions against financial institutions brought under consumer protection statutes including TILA, RESPA, FCRA, and FDCPA. She frequently represents financial institutions, and also has experience representing owner-operated businesses and individuals. Ms. Osacky has managed several large, complex cases, including one bankruptcy matter with a docket of more than 100 related actions. She has also coordinated large-scale discovery projects, and has experience in numerous venues, including both federal and state courtrooms. Ms. Osacky’s employment practice involves not only dispute resolution, but counseling clients on the day-to-day management of their human resource administration and compliance programs to avoid claims. Ms. Osacky is active in the firm’s pro bono program. A recent appellate case involved arguing to overturn a conviction based on improper jury instructions.
