Susan Meyer is a corporate attorney concentrating in intellectual property and franchise law. With significant experience in business management prior to her legal career, Ms. Meyer understands the unique perspective of the entrepreneur and offers practical, value-driven solutions to clients. She represents start-up and established franchisors and franchisees, and helps companies manage their growth. As the firm’s trademark specialist, Ms. Meyer works on all aspects of trademark matters from simple prosecutions to licensing to dispute resolution. She has extensive experience in other intellectual property matters such as trade secret, trade dress, and copyrights. In addition to litigation cases involving intellectual property, Ms. Meyer also handles disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Prior to joining Schwartz, Cooper, Ms. Meyer spent over twelve years as the principal in her own firm, and previously served as a contract lawyer for Sara Lee Corporation in their intellectual property department. Ms. Meyer is currently President of the Frank Hren Foundation. This Foundation built the Frank Hren Discovery Park in Morton Grove. She also serves as President of the School District 67 PTA, and as Director and Executive Producer of the annual 8th Grade Play for Golf School District 67.
