Schwartz Cooper Attorney Elected President of Jewish Community Centers of ChicagoEric S. Rein to Serve as 2007-2008 PresidentSeptember 26, 2007 (Chicago) – Eric (Rick) Rein, a Principal at the law firm of Schwartz Cooper Chartered, was elected President of the Jewish Community Centers of Chicago (JCC), effective September 26, 2007. Mr. Rein was elected as President for a one-year term. He is replacing Jordon Katz, who served as President from 2004-2007. The JCC offers cultural, educational, social and recreational programs in community centers and other locations, including early childhood sites, day camps, and an overnight camp located in Wisconsin. Mr. Rein has been an active member of the JCC for almost 20 years. He has served on the Central Board since 2000 and is a past President of the Bernard Weinger Jewish Community Center (1998-2000) in Northbrook, Illinois. At Schwartz Cooper, Mr. Rein serves as head of the firm’s International Asset Recovery Group. He also is a member of the firm’s Banking & Lending, Bankruptcy, Litigation and Real Estate Finance practices. Mr. Rein concentrates his practice in multijurisdictional litigation, bank workouts, lender liability disputes, and general commercial litigation matters, including real estate developer defense. He has extensive experience in state and federal jury trials and appeals.
