Commercial Real Estate Finance 101

Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Real Estate Committee
June 2, 2005

This seminar will begin with an introduction of the various loan documents and due diligence required from a lender's perspective to close a loan.  The next topic will include an overview of the provisions in loan documents that a borrower typically tries to negotiate, how a lender would typically respond to such requests, and the middle ground ususally agreed upon.  Finally, we will discuss the loan policy and supporting documentation required by the title company to insure the lender's priority lien status.
