The First YearDuring the first year, our new Associates have the opportunity to work with all of the firm's practice groups. New Associates will work closely with a mentor to manage their workload, and ultimately select an area of practice. Members of the New Associates Group are given as much responsibility as they can handle at the outset of their careers, quickly becoming involved in client meetings, drafting pleadings, handling contested motions, taking depositions, conducting small trials, and negotiating and drafting transactional documents. Additionally, new Associates are encouraged to participate in in-house legal training seminars, practice group meetings and other firm activities.
